Who we are
We are a veteran-owned FFL dealer in the small town of Wytheville, Virginia. Our shop opened in April of 2024 with one simple mission; to arm everyone. We aim to offer affordable firearms and accessories so that everyone has access to exercise their second amendment right.
Meet the Owner!
My name is Hugh Arrington, I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas before moving to the beautiful mountains of Virginia when I was 6 years old. My Father introduced me to collecting antique firearms at a young age and my love grew from there. I have a beautiful family. My girlfriend, Brittany and I have three children together ages 7, 6, and 2. In my free time I enjoy restoring trucks, range shooting, and traveling.
What is Nickel Coating?
At Arrington Arms & Ammunition LLC we specialize in electro-less nickel coating for firearms and metal components. Nickel coating, also known as nickel plating, is the process of applying a thin layer of nickel to the surface of metal parts. This process enhances durability, reduces friction, makes cleaning easier, and provides long-lasting protection against rust, wear, and chemical exposure. The result is a strong, attractive finish that performs as well as it looks.
How does it work?
Electro-less nickel coating is a chemical application method that deposits nickel evenly across every surface- even on internal threads, bores, and complex geometries. If choosing an Intermediate or Advanced service the process starts with the most important part, the prep work. Each part is thoroughly cleaned and degreased to remove contaminants. It is then sand blasted for maximum adhesion. If you have selected an advanced service the part will then be polished to achieve a glossy/shiny finish. The part is then placed into a controlled bath to achieve a precise, even coating. Afterwards, the part is rinsed, polished, and inspected to ensure quality, hardness, and durability.
